Easy Chicken Cattaciatore

1 whole chicken cut into pieces

1 (16 oz.) Farm to Freezer Tomato Sauce (thawed)

1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth

1 (16 oz.) package of Farm to Freezer Roasted Peppers (thawed)

¾ cup white wine

2 T capers drained

1 teaspoon dried oregano

¼ cup basil chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

In a heavy skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown chicken pieces in skillet on each side about 5 minutes per side (work in batches if needed). Remove chicken and keep warm. Wipe pan clean of oil. Add tomato sauce, roasted peppers, wine, broth, capers and oregano. Simmer 5 minutes. Add chicken, turn to coat in the sauce. Simmer chicken over medium-low for 20-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove chicken to platter. Serve sauce over chicken. Garnish with fresh basil.
